Knú's unique, original designs are manufactured in West Michigan by Industrial Woodworking Corporation (IWC), which has been producing high-quality furnishings for three of the largest office furniture manufacturers and one of the largest healthcare
furniture suppliers in the United States since 1995. Designed and engineered with an unrelenting commitment to quality and sustainability, Knú will become a lasting part of your modern environment.
Knú Desk #1 is compact, versatile and fits into places that many desks can’t. Lightweight and incorruptibly strong, this desk is at home in any room. The wood components are made from FSC-certified 25mm thick birch multi-ply substrate whenever possible, with your choice of 6 veneers, finished with an extremely tough low-VOC catalyzed varnish. The legs are custom made using 1 ¼” diameter 12 gauge tubular steel and then powder coated with an aluminum finish; each leg has a nickel plated leveler, so your desk will never rock unless you are. Knú Desk #1 also comes with a handy pencil drawer made from recyclable injection molded plastic and steel ball bearing drawer slides. Assembly is simple, attach the four legs with 16 machine screws using the accompanying Allen wrench we provide and you are ready grab your laptop and log on.

Knú has made a commitment to use FSC-certified sustainably harvested wood products
whenever possible. They buy locally; the majority of their suppliers are within a 50 mile
radius. All packaging is fully recyclable and each piece is shipped direct to you from
our energy efficient factory, further reducing our carbon footprint.
Knú purchases renewable energy certificates to offset our carbon emissions. Currently
they offset 100% of the emissions from executive air travel and vehicle use, and all
electricity and natural gas used in manufacturing. To protect forests, they do not
produce direct mail catalogs. They also donate to the National Arbor Foundation to
plant a tree in a national forest in the USA for every piece of furniture sold.
